About Us
SiteMed is an occupational medical company that delivers on-site wellness and medical services to industry. SiteMed was founded in 2005 by occupational medical physicians. We use certified medical professionals to deliver excellence services.
SiteMed offers services ranging from wellness physicals to full occupational medical evaluations including pulmonary function, audiograms, EKG and lab draws.
With physical locations in the Raleigh and Atlanta areas, SiteMed serves clients throughout the Southeast. These client companies range from chemical manufacturing, to power generation, to public service and more.
Meet the principals of SiteMed, Dr. Lance Walker and Dr. Gonzalo Fernandez, co-founders and business partners since 2001.
Dr. Lance Walker
Dr.
Walker completed undergraduate training in Biology at William Jewell College
in Liberty, Missouri. He received a Doctorate Degree in Osteopathic Medicine
from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His
residency was completed in Family Medicine at Floyd Medical Center in
Rome, Georgia where he served as Chief Resident.
After residency he entered private practice in North Carolina where he co-founded and managed three successful practices in the Raleigh-Durham area. He received a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina in 2005. Dr. Walker relocated to the Atlanta area to be closer to family in 2006. He is board certified in Family and Osteopathic Medicine. He is an Aviation Medical Examiner, a Certified Independent Medical Examiner and a Certified Medical Review Officer.
His practice interests include wellness and occupational medicine. His treatment philosophy is to emphasize disease prevention through early intervention and lifestyle modification before utilization of pharmacologic interventions.
Dr. Walker is married, has two young children and resides in Kennesaw, Georgia. His personal interests include running, reading and travel.
Dr. Gonzalo Fernandez
Dr. Fernandez earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University and is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia and moved to North Carolina in 2001. Dr. Fernandez specializes in occupational medicine and is the Corporate Consulting Physician for a Fortune 100 company, an authorized USCIS Civil Surgeon for the U.S. Government. He had performed medical exams for the states of Georgia, Virginia & North Carolina. He is a certified MRO and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Fernandez specializes in customizing occupational
health plans for small local companies up to Fortune 100 businesses
to suit their specific needs. He enjoys getting to know his clients
personally in order to provide them individual attention and outstanding
customer service. |
